CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team has successfully completed the second round of the World Rally-Raid Championship, adding another victory to the team's history. After five days of racing in a wide range of conditions and covering over 2,500 kilometers, both riders crossed the finish arch and will step onto the winners' podium.
The final day of the rally was short, but the stage brought its own challenges. French rider Gaëtan Martinez, who claimed first place in the quad category, shared his thoughts:
"The last special stage of this rally was short but very tough—lots of hidden rocks and other obstacles. At times, navigation was tricky. In the end, we reached the finish without any major damage. The quads are in great shape, and so are we. I won today’s stage and the rally overall among quads, and once again we’ve proven that our whole team belongs in this world championship."
Antanas Kanopkinas also celebrated strong results, taking second place in the quad category:
"It was a very tough day, lots of pits. I made a small mistake, but it didn’t change much. This was a really good rally and I’m happy with the results. I’m just a few seconds short of the overall Top 20—that means I’ll have to push even harder next time. I’m in good shape, the quad is in great condition, and the team did everything perfectly. That’s the biggest victory. Now we head home and prepare for the next challenges."
Over the course of the five-day rally, CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team earned five stage win medals and valuable points in the world championship standings. Since the quad category championship has been shortened, only one round remains—in Portugal this September. However, due to the canceled quad class at the Morocco rally, the team plans to enter another event as a replacement and will share details once plans are confirmed.
