On Monday, the rally participants in Tunisia completed the fourth racing day of the event – a total of 563 kilometers, nearly 300 of which were timed special stages. Both CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team riders finished the stage successfully and arrived at the bivouac in great spirits. However, halfway through the rally, competitors are still experiencing issues with the roadbook – this year, for the first time, only digital versions are being used in the Fenix rally, and various glitches continue to appear.
“A great, productive day. Today was all about speed and gravel. It was a day of tire and belt destruction – from morning till evening, eight thousand RPM and a lot of speed, but also a lot of fun. I’m happy that everything went more or less well, except, as usual, the organizers’ equipment isn’t working quite the way we’d like it to,” said Antanas Kanopkinas after reaching the bivouac.
Gaetan Martinez also enjoyed the fast-paced day: “A long day with lots of kilometers. The special stage was divided into two parts, and both were extremely fast. Lots of stones, many hidden dangers, but everything went great. We both managed to ride quickly and safely. Unfortunately, about a hundred kilometers before the finish, the roadbook stopped working for both Antanas and me, so we had to wait for other competitors to know where to go.”
On Tuesday, participants face an even longer special stage, while the team will also relocate to a new bivouac. In total, more than 90 crews started the Fenix rally, which spans over 2,700 kilometers
