The 30th edition of the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo took place in Austria this weekend. Widely regarded as the toughest enduro event in the world, it attracts more than 1,500 competitors over four days of racing, yet only a small fraction of those who start manage to reach the finish of the main race. After nearly a decade-long absence, the quad category returned to the event, and among 15 starters, both CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team riders claimed the top two positions.

“What an incredible day. After yesterday’s disappointment, I went straight to work on the quad this morning. The mechanics gave me a few suggestions on what to adjust, so we made some changes to the suspension, adjusted the tire pressure, and the whole feeling of the quad changed immediately. Today I felt much more confident, and now we have first and second place at Erzbergrodeo,” said Antanas Kanopkinas after the finish, having set the fastest result among the quad riders.

Representatives of nearly every major manufacturer lined up at the start, including Polaris, Can-Am, Aodes, KTM, Segway, and Loncin, but once again it was CFMOTO that occupied the top positions on the podium.

“What happens here is hard to comprehend. The course is incredibly difficult, and over the past three years only one motorcycle rider has managed to complete all of Sunday’s route. Rocks, loose gravel, steep climbs. Sometimes it feels like you’re staring at a wall and then have to ride straight into it. It was a really good weekend, and I’m very happy with the result,” said Adomas Gančierius after the finish. Gančierius had set the fastest time in the prologue and ultimately finished second overall in the quad classification.

After the World Rally-Raid Championship round in Argentina and the Erzbergrodeo event in Austria, the team will now enjoy a short break, but the racing season is only halfway through.
