ree

On Sunday, the five-day BP Ultimate Rally Raid came to an end, marking the conclusion of the World Rally-Raid Championship in the quad category. From the very start of the season, CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team consistently competed in every round, collecting championship points, and in Portugal they stepped onto the two highest spots of the podium.

Crossing the finish line, Antanas Kanopkinas expressed his happiness with the result and gave thanks to his teammates, loved ones, and partners: “So, the World Championship has ended. I am where I am – second place is a very solid and strong result, and I lost only to my teammate. I’m very happy for him as well. As team manager, I’m extremely proud that we secured first and second places in the championship. I want to keep building on what we are doing together as a team, and I want to thank CFMOTO, all of our partners, friends, family, and supporters for allowing us to do what we do.”

On the fifth day, Kanopkinas set the fastest time among the quads, earning his second stage win medal of the week. His teammate, Gaetan Martinez, finished second on Sunday but had already claimed three stage wins during the rally. In the final standings, he took the gold medal both in the Portugal round and in the W2RC World Championship quad class.

“Special stage completed, rally completed! In total, we covered 2,500 kilometers. Everything went almost perfectly for me, and I’m thrilled to cross the finish line. Of course, I’m very happy with winning three stages, while Antanas took two – a great achievement for the team. I’m delighted with the rally win and the championship title. This is a huge accomplishment for me and for CFMOTO,” said the new World Champion, Gaetan Martinez, at the finish.

The team’s next start will come at the end of October with the Fenix Rally, held in the Sahara Desert.
