CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team brings home two medals from Portugal

For five days in the mountains, forests and plains of Portugal, participants of the BP Ultimate Rally Raid drove hundreds of kilometers. Athletes had to experience rain and deep puddles, as well as ride in the hot sun. The athletes of the CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team experienced several minor incidents during these days, but none of them prevented them both from getting on the podium.

"I gave all of me every day. During so many kilometers, only a few minor mistakes happened - we really pushed the maximum both from ourselves and from the equipment. I am very happy with the work done by the whole team, because we didn't have any technical problems either on the tracks or on the liaisons. The team's preparation was worth ten points. The organization of the event is also amazing, there were a lot of spectators - all the emotions after this competition are very positive", said Antanas Kanopkinas after finishing and was happy that there was strong competition in the quad category and added that motorsport has once again shown that it has a lot of ingredients . "It's both speed and preparation, both physical and psychological. Some competitors sadly did not pass all the exams, but it happens, the next stages await, where everyone can make up for it. We also start to prepare for the next start the moment we get back home"

A. Kanopkinas took the second place in the quad standings. His teammate Gaetan Martinez was just a few seconds behind him and took the third place, so both CFMOTO quads who started in Portugal will have a chance to get on the podium.

"The last day of the rally was great, short and fast. I didn't get away with a small mistake, but it didn't change the final results. I am very happy that we proved again that we are a strong racing team and that CFMOTO has its place in the championship. It was a great experience, a great rally - lots of different tracks throughout the days. Now is the time to rest and prepare for the next race", said G. Martinez.

The closest start of the team is less than two months away - on May 27, the athletes will stand at the starting line in Greece, "Hellas Rally Raid". Seven days of racing and no less competition than in Portugal will await them there.
